Making A Name for Yourself
Alright, guys so here is blog post #1. We are new to this whole blog thing so bear with us. We are not professional writers or bloggers or anything within the writing world; we are simply just some sponsorship people who are passionate about their jobs.
So, when did Mile Zero begin?
Well, back in 2012, Mike was working at Red Frog Events, a well-renowned event company located in Chicago, IL. He was with Red Frog selling Firefly Music Festival for 4 years when he decided to make the tough decision to leave and become his own boss. Armed with his experience at Red Frog and more than 10+ years in the live entertainment and event industry, Mike made the decision to blaze his own trail; and in 2016 that was when Mile Zero began.
Matt joined the business in 2017, coming from a sports management background. He is definitely the most extroverted of the family, always speaking his mind and not afraid of a challenge. With that being said, Matt makes an excellent addition to the team with the way he thinks about things outside the box. He’s continuing to hone is sales skills and building relationships with clients and brands along the way.
Last but not least, I joined in 2018 after graduating with a degree in Public Relations and Business. I always had an interest in the event industry (always looking up to Mike and what he did) so, I completed an internship with Mile Zero in 2017 to get my feet wet to see if I really enjoyed the event world; and SURPRISE. I did. I decided to come on full time to focus on marketing and social media for the team.
This is our family
With such different personalities, we still come together and work extremely well with each other and all strive to make this agency successful. We started to build a name for ourselves back in 2016 and aren’t slowing down. Working as a family business definitely has its pros and cons; but we totally love it. We are Tireless Grinders. We always will be and are excited that you stopped by.
That’s all for now,
We hope you guys like our first blog!
Cheers,
Megan, Mike and Matt
